Understand where networks are legally vulnerable

Global trade data, laws, conventions and developing innovative methodologies are all part of the research team’s mandate

The Global Eye research team is a dedicated unit of highly skilled individuals who locate and decipher multiple layers of data pertaining to illicit networks. The research tasks include uncovering where and how commodities are laundered into legal trade systems, where other forms of illegality exist and how they may be disrupted using legal or regulatory tools (formal and informal). Some of the databases the research team examines are millions of rows in size, and often in several languages.

A key component of the research activities is to think laterally and seek new and previously ignored databases. Every single item of data we require to effectively tackle illicit networks exists – somewhere. The mission is to find it and understand how it can be used.
